“Collaborating with the social service and education enthusiasts of Siddhalek Rural Municipality, Ward No. 3 (formerly known as Ward No. 2 and 3 of Salang VDC), Padheri, Bajhbari, Chalise, Ratamate, Tin Khande, and Tarebir, a school building was established in Ward No. 3 in the year 2038 BS, after raising funds through Deusi-Bhailo program during the festival of Tihar. The school was run by hiring local teachers.
In the year 2039 BS, all the communities came together and started contributing monthly, ranging from 50 paisa to 100 rupees, to support the regular operation of the school. The school was operating smoothly until the establishment of Amar Adarsha Primary School by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and GIZ (German Society for International Cooperation) in the year 2040 BS. After that, the student enrollment decreased, and the school had to shut down due to the lack of a conducive learning environment.
Education is a fundamental right of every human being. Education cannot keep up with modern life without upgrading itself. Upgrading the school due to the high demand for education, the school was upgraded, and a primary level teacher was appointed in the year 2045 BS. Subsequently, more classes were added, and now the school provides education up to class 5 and is continually upgrading to provide education up to class 8.”
